Every child should be given the chance to thrive in a safe and loving home. Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) are appointed by judges to advocate for children's best interests.

Become a CASA

A Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) is a trained volunteer who serves as a voice for abused and neglected children in the foster care system. CASAs work closely with social workers, attorneys, and judges to ensure the child’s needs and best interests are being met throughout their case.

Donate

Donating money to Shoals CASA directly supports our mission to advocate for vulnerable children in the foster care system. Your contribution helps recruit and train dedicated volunteers who work tirelessly to ensure that each child has a voice in court and a chance at a brighter future.

Non-Case Volunteers

By helping with fundraising events, administrative tasks, or outreach efforts, you enable Shoals CASA to focus more resources on our mission and the children we serve. Whether it's organizing materials, greeting donors, or spreading awareness in the community, your efforts contribute to our success and sustainability.

More About Our Impact

Shoals CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) is committed to promoting awareness of child abuse and neglect within the Shoals area. We work diligently to provide trained volunteers to advocate for the best interest of children within the judicial system.

CASA programs assist the juvenile/family court in carrying out its role in the child protective services system. CASA volunteers are an investigative tool for juvenile dependency court cases. Often being the "eyes and ears of the court".
